Youth Forum 2010: Youth on the Coast will be held in Charlottetown and South Rustico, Prince Edward Island from July 23-25, 2010. Get all the information here!

Youth on the Coast invites the participation of a culturally diverse group of up to 50 young people ages 16 – 26 to spend 2.5 days on the small island Province of Prince Edward Island. The youth will learn about coastal issues, sharing skills and perspectives and will create a series of video messages and a call to action for the CZC 2010 Conference that will follow the Youth Forum from July 25 to 29.

The Youth Forum will include a half day of formal presentations by young researchers. January 15, 2010 is the deadline for submitting abstracts - see the CZC 2010 website for details. Presentations and posters are invited on the following themes:

Coastal science (especially related to climate change and water quality);

Entrepreneurship (making a living on the coast, links to food security);

Public engagement in watershed, fisheries and coastal management;

Influence of culture/arts on social and environmental health in the coastal zone.
